Introduction
Khangchendzonga National Park in Sikkim is one of India’s most celebrated national parks. Located in the North & West Sikkim district, Khangchendzonga National Park encompasses Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 m) and is India’s FIRST UNESCO MIXED WORLD HERITAGE SITE.

History
Declared a National Park in August 1977 and inscribed as a UNESCO Mixed Heritage Site in July 2016.
