Introduction
Balpakram National Park in Meghalaya is one of India’s most celebrated national parks. Located in the South Garo Hills (Baghmara) district, Balpakram National Park (‘Land of Perpetual Winds’) is a sacred Garo high-altitude plateau canyon national park in southern Meghalaya.

History
Notified as a National Park in December 1987 under the Wildlife Protection Act.
