Location

Manjira Bird Sanctuary is geographically located in the Sangareddy & Medak district of Telangana. 50 km from Hyderabad via Mumbai highway (NH-65).

History and Year of Notification

The sanctuary was officially notified in 1978 under Indian wildlife conservation frameworks. Declared a Wildlife Sanctuary in June 1978 to protect the riverine crocodile and bird habitat.
