Haiderpur Wetland is geographically located in the Bijnor & Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. 15 km from Bijnor town.

History and Year of Notification

The sanctuary was officially notified in 2019 (Ramsar Site 2021) under Indian wildlife conservation frameworks. Created in 1984 by barrage construction; declared a Ramsar Site in 2021.

Riverine lake, reed islands, flooded grassland, and Gangetic plain forest.
